As an exceptionally young dog, Sassy, the lab pictured in the painting, won plenty of field trial awards. Her owner loved her so, that he asked for a painting to be made. Sassy is shown sitting attentively in a duck blind in Louisiana. The lab is a true and faithful friend of man, often serving and performing at a moment’s notice without complaint. If only we all could be a little more like Sassy.
